Project Brief
The IMechE 2021 Design Competition challenges participants to design and build a repeatable vehicle
that can complete two phases of a challenge.
The first phase involves the vehicle traveling 4 meters
to touch a wall and returning to the starting point, where it will pause for 5-10 seconds.
The second
phase involves the vehicle traveling to the wall but stopping at the center of a target placed between
the start point and the wall.
The vehicle must be self-contained, manually started, and fully autonomous
during both phases.
It should be designed with accurate color sensors to detect the center of the target
and stop the vehicle accordingly.
The goal is to score the highest points by stopping the vehicle as close
as possible to the center of the target.
